In the past three days, I've switched my #homelab to a new #ReverseProxy! After using #NginxProxyManager and #Zoraxy, I've now moved to #Pangolin.

Pangolin allows me to provide my #selfhosted services from my home lab without needing to open a port in my #firewall.

Essentially, it's a self-hosted alternative to #CloudflareTunnels, running on a #VPS. Due to the current political situation in the #USA, I preferred not to use Cloudflare.

Pangolin is based on #WireGuard and #Newt, enabling a #certificate-based direct connection after installing a client on the home server.

I'm extremely satisfied with it and now have no open ports in my private #network!

This is, like my #SelfHosted #Gitea instance, publicly exposed through #Pangolin (https://github.com/fosrl/pangolin) using #Wireguard tunnels. Even though Pangolin is in its early stages, it's been very nice to use and having a graphical user interface to configure some of these bits and pieces has been quite convenient.
I know I'll be sacrificing some speed by not having things directly exposed, the security benefits and not having to worry about dynamic IPs and all more than makes up for it I think.

He instalado en el VPS el proxy inverso #pangolin https://docs.fossorial.io/overview que aunque está en un estado muy inicial funciona bien y los desarrolladores hace un muy buen trabajo el producto final va a ser muy muy bueno

Seguiré probando y cacharreando hasta que este bien seguro de los riesgos y ventajas. Como siempre no tengo prisa y aprender es lo que me gusta.
