No one bumped me to say #plasma 6.3.1 was out today... While I was out, the repo had updated itself with the latest #kde6 #slackware packages for 6.3.1 as well as a new yt-dlp refresh! I also re-added qca/qcoro so we are still completely covering the /kde directory within Slackware. You can use either slack's packages or my own, it makes no difference. Cheers! https://slackware.lngn.net/
Nuclear fusion: WEST beats the world record for plasma duration
The CEA’s WEST machine was able to maintain a plasma for more than 22 minutes. In doing so, it smashed the previous record for plasma duration achieved with a tokamak.

There's that slight delay as the anomalies in the localized magnetic field collapse allowing the plasma to fully take off at speed. A lot of those plasma arches you see on the Sun's surface are not governed by gravity but by a magnetic field loop pulling it back down.

#KDE #Plasma 6.3.1 Released With A Few Dozen Fixes For The Week https://www.phoronix.com/news/KDE-Plasma-6.3.1-Released

I recently got into the habit of using the Meta/Super/Windows key together with left/right click to move or resize windows in #Plasma.
Resizing is a lot easier when you don't have to hit the narrow window boundary, but the real game changer is this:
You can move application windows even while the application isn't responding.
I never thougt this would be important, but given how often apps are loading or busy with something, it feels like having a pair of shakles removed!

Whoever at @kde made it so that #Plasma remembers resolution and scaling settings for each individual monitor indefinitely is an absolute hero.
Plugged your computer into your TV? Boom! Scaling and resolution applied.
Plug it back into the monitor on your desk? Bam! Settings restored.
Plug it back in at your friend's house you haven't been to since last year? Kaboom! Perfect settings, because you did it before.

And managed to squeeze in a couple of more bug fixes before the weekend!
Go get your #KDE #Plasma #Tailscale tray application right now!
