Couple random things:
- For the first part of the drawing, I thought about having the moon be a soap bubble instead. Those splashes of color are me trying the watercolor brush and thinking "nope"
- At 00:09, where the ground moves up sharply, that's something I'm able to do because I can go back and select objects even after saving the image. (This wasn't possible pre-iOS 17.)
Listening to #Playback on #RTERadioOne Technical Manager for Time has to be one of the best job descriptions.

The irregular arrangement of the colored windows is extremely intentional and meaningful and has nothing to do with the fact that drawing a grid on a slightly tilted area is freaking hard.

Example of how some of the more notable details only get settled well into the drawing: the figures under the platform were a late addition. Initially, I was thinking it was just going to be a platform with rickety wooden supports.

Lesson learned: tiny faces are no easier to draw than they were a month ago, and sometimes heavy background shading detracts from the overall vibe of the work.

When I started this, I just wanted to relax and draw a heavily textured blob, and at some point, the face snapped into focus. A lot of these happen like that: the subject emerges mid-way, rather than being something I planned from the beginning.
