Puede parecer una tontería, e incluso cabezonería, pero tener en mi propia máquina un cliente de #RSS (con varias docenas de orígenes), un servidor de #Mastodon y ahora un servidor de #XMPP (con soporte de VoIP) me acerca más a una soberanía de privacidad digital y me proporciona mucha paz mental no depender de ninguna empresa tecnológica para estos servicios. Algo tan básico pero que en los últimos tiempos se ha degradado tanto hasta hacerlo insoportable.

Ive been working with Grav again, to use as a framework for my personal dashboard idea. One of the plugins Im using is Twigfeeds RSS to pull feeds from social and blog sources into a page/pages. I modified the plugin to add category metadata, to sort feeds into news/people/blogs etc, whatever. This means I can make twig templates to show a single category of feeds. Hugely useful. The plugin author has added my method to the plugin Readme.

For the past couple of weeks I have turned off my home feed on youtube and am only using the subscriptions button which behaves like an RSS feed.

I'm not communicating enough about the https://artfeed.org project, and as a result there aren't many registrations. So I've done away with the invitation system and opened up the site to everyone.
