Start with the Jar: How to understand your capacity via Turtle’s Pace [Shared]
Optimism is dangerous, especially when it comes to planning our goals. If we underestimate the effort of an endeavor, we set ourselves up for failure. When we fail to meet our expectations, we can succumb to cynicism.
We must learn how much we can process to avoid the hope trap.
Domain, Duration, and Dimension
Imagine you have thousands of marbles to carry on a plane, and airport security released a new regulation that limits an individual to one jarful. If you don’t know the jar's capacity, you won’t know how many marbles you can bring and could risk losing your precious orbs!

www.youtube.comMy question: can you use sched_ext in Kubernetes? And is it a good idea?
Apparently scx_layered is namespace aware, and can run inside of a container, but is a pretty advanced use case. Seems cool!
Ooooooh you can use userland Rust to write a scheduler with sched_ext.
Let's talk about how to choose the right scheduler? What is the workload constraint? Is scheduling a bottleneck? Is the system mostly idle? What are the latency vs. throughput requirements? What is the hardware topology?
These all sound like questions that ~nobody is asking about the Kubernetes scheduler.

Хабр@energisch_ @gerrymcgovern unfortunately, the more mom and pop, specialized, independent #home service companies get eaten up by larger all-in-one, everything home #conglomerates the harder that becomes.

Booking and EventsIs there a web site/service where you can pick two time zones and enter a time of day for one zone and automatically get the corresponding time in the other time zone?
Surely, such a site/service exists?
PS: I'm not talking about "current time": plenty of sites do that. I want to enter some arbitrary time of day. A typical user is someone trying to schedule a meeting with people in both time zones.
Tired of playing email tag to figure out a meeting time? We are too. Our newest project, Appointment, is coming to the rescue - and a closed beta! Find out more and get links to the waiting list and our GitHub repo in our announcement blog.
