As if the week weren't bad enough for Tesla, I find it absolutely hilarious that Tesla board members actually buying Tesla stock instead of dumping it is now headline news.

It would be one thing if this were a large purchase but in real terms this was tiny. This stock buy was a calculated gesture, the cheapest possible token of support of Musk their board could muster.

The fact this is news is NOT good for Elon.

Yeah. Geico stopped insuring Cybertrucks in October of 2024. Now I can see why. Sadly, no one should be allowed life insurance either if they own this vehicle: the Cybertruck has the highest fatality rate of all vehicles! @KarlHeinzHasliP if you can find me an EV that is actually affordable and useable and not a privacy nightmare, I'll gladly switch.

Meanwhile all those #Swasticars need to outlive my used one by at least 200.000km to break even on total CO².

If I can take breaks, I take #PublicTransport. It's just not an option and on some jobs I would've not been hired without a reliable car.

Plus not everyone is able or willing to dish out 5+ digits for a #Wallbox at their rented parking spot when it's not even clear that would be legal as per fire safety code at all, given the landlord doesn't even allow people to refuel cars down there and #BatteryFires are a whole new level of shit!
