Struggling to care about my last meeting of the day. Discussing process with new lowers. Decisions have clearly already been made and the lowest common denominator is winning at the expense of even incremental steps towards true continuous delivery.
I've struggled all day #today. I managed to get through the rest of my meetings but they were 1:1's where I can share a little context on why I am currently preoccupied.
Well..it's been a busy one today and I got the nice surprise that the check for the car arrived today so I will be going over on the 2nd of May to pick it up..got three rides in after it finally got up to about 54 so I could go out in shorts..got more yard work in and made a run over to Menards to get some lawn food and grass seed to start repairing the damage that the drought and weeds did last year...finally took the bird feeder down and cleaned up the window and sill...good afternoon!

#Today is my birthday, I am 41 years old and honestly I'm very excited to enter my forties. I've had chocolate cake and season two of Andor is starting, that's already a fantastic gift.
Well, I just made some of the frozen dim sum I bought at the Chinese grocery for lunch: mini spring rolls, chicken and water chestnut dumplings, and shrimp shumai. I was expecting it to be fairly mediocre because, well, frozen food instead of fresh, but in fact it was near restaurant quality. And there's still enough frozen for about 5 more meals. Win win!
Next time, though, I'm greasing the steamer basket. It said to do that on the package, but I forgot.

Good morning. I did an early grocery run and by the time I got home the sun was out. It's already mid-70s and turning into unexpectedly pleasant day.
I'm going to go all-in on being outside for as long as my eyes and throat hold out. Afterwards, there's a book calling my name.

I will probably keep coming in on Tuesdays to show my face around. I’ll return by 1 p.m., although I don’t know if I’ll have time to take the dogs for a walk. I have two preview tickets to see The Accountant 2 this evening, but I’m not sure I’ll go. Four Guys Co-op wants to play tonight instead of our usual Wednesday night.

A new day. A new chance to succeed.
I'm trying to hurry this morning. I'd like to get out with the sunrise for a change, since the temps aren't freezing.
But I have things that need to happen first.
So it goes.
I'm going to miss the sun rise.
My consolation prize becomes walking in the cool morning's shadows, admiring the way the sun beams gleam through new leaves and light up fresh green grass.
Seems like a decent 2nd place to start.
