Aus der Taxibranche gibt es viel Kritik am Geschäftsmodell von Uber. Trotzdem kooperiert in Stuttgart die Taxizentrale seit kurzem mit dem Unternehmen - eine in Deutschland bislang einmalige Zusammenarbeit. Von Tim Kukral.

Imagine being a redhead in a Waymo in AZ & being shown an ad for sunblock cos you have pale skin - all w/o knowing they're using the camera to determine all of this!

Personalized ads of this type are coming.

Don't think the AI won't concentrate on certain body sizes to offer weight loss ads to you..

#Trimet is on a quest to ruin even more bus lines. Ridership is fed up! Perhaps if you did more about the reason ridership is down instead of destroying routes your existing ridership relies upon, you wouldn't be in this fix. People still don't feel safe and comfortable so people are driving or sharing rides like #Uber #Lyft Changing/ ruining our treasured routes won't bring them back. I feel for the #homeless and #mentallyill but they make people with choices, take other #transit options

Sarah has a doctor’s appointment tomorrow bright and early so I set up an #Uber ride for her, and since she’s not me I’ll be going along, besides we usually go to each other’s appointments anyway. What’s noteworthy about all this is they have already assigned a driver, and they’ll be arriving in, wait for it, a #Tesla I have half a mind to cancel and reschedule based on that alone.

Eu ainda não consigo acreditar que a #Uber não tenha nenhum serviço de atendimento ao cliente. Não tem telefone, não tem whatsapp, não tem e-mail. Só tem um menu de ajuda extremamente limitado. Não se consegue falar com um humano. Gente, isso não é ilegal?! Se não é, deveria.

Esse sistema do #Uber enlouqueceu. Se o motorista reconheceu que eu paguei a ele, pq o sistema insiste que o pagamento desta viagem está pendente?!
Já esgotei todas as possibilidades, tentei todos os menus do aplicativo do Uber, e não consigo resolver isso. E não tem nenhuma opção de falar com um humano.

From time to time i drive with Uber. But without their app. My mobile is FOSS only setup.

This works with the browser too, but I problem is, that even I answer their 2FA with SMS and Mail (unsure why they send both) I only can book with cash payment, even the credit card shows up and can be selected.

Clicking book ride does nothing, or max redirect with non informative error.

Switch cash works immediately?

Is there a known Workaround ?

One thing I won't do is argue politics while in a #uber or #taxi because they could end both of our lives in an instant lol

I literally haven't had one UK #rideshare customer in my #Uber at #WaltDisneyWorld since the #Trump Immigration-Crazy took hold... not ONE! That is NOT normal!

By the way: When you choose to fly in and out of a small airport 45 minutes from #WaltDisneyWorld & you take an #Uber #Rideshare BACK to #Sanford (airport) to catch your flight home, please realize that the driver likely will have to #deadhead back to #WaltDisneyWorld and therefore a $10 tip is NOT enough to cover gas & time for that trip!

It's another story when the airport is #MCO & nearby, but you chose to penny-pinch and fly #Allegiant into the small airport!

In other words: be nice!
