Está es mi #GPU (#NVIDIA) con el escritorio no haciendo nada muy especial con un vídeo en #VLC. Con este reproductor sí está activa el decodificador de vídeos. Pero con Firefox no... ¿qué pasa? Yo me hago la polla un lío con esto y con NVIDIA. Estoy en Wayland, por si importa.

What would be the benefit of using #mpv over the go to #vlc ?

I had no idea about #Flowblade! Currently learning #kdenlive because #davinciresolve on #linux is a bit spotty right now. Made the switch from #windows to #linuxmint a few weeks ago and been incredibly happy so far.

Thanks for posting about all these neat open source/linux film tools!

Well, until this morning two of my #Chromecast Audios were still working with noncommercial apps like #VLC and #SomaFM, since they don't ask the devices to authenticate. But today those have dropped off the network as well.

Considering that https://github.com/johang/vlc-bittorrent is not released for , do you know an alternative to do same thing in #arch?

A bit more looking at #VLC documentation reveals that it's very thin for such a ubiquitous and long-lived project.

It's bizarre that the "playlist" word itself is the first item you see, in the most prominent position in the app, yet the word is almost totally missing from the documentation. Searching gives you only three hits, all down in the weeds of disk paths and inner workings.

All the documentation of making and managing playlists is 3rd party sites on the web.

On my todo list is to go file an issue with the #VLC project about how stale links for streaming sources fail catastrophically.

I like to have a playlist of favourite streaming radio sources, but when they become invalid VLC fails terribly, spewing garbage characters and out-of-control pop-ups etc.

Maybe it should be a project to contribute (some day) if I could find a few hours a week to get involved. It's a great tool and I really hope it would keep improving.
