For all the potentially positive news from #COP27    on #LossAndDamage or that #YouthVoice should be in future policy, the devastating news is that there's no agreed plan to phase out #FossilFuels. For young people this is critical 🔥🌍

@MerylBatchelder while loss and damage fund agreement is a positive step, I am still somewhat numb to it as we have not yet had the formation of the transitional committee to define its funding value and sources.

We will therefore need to withhold judgement until their report at COP28 - many will be arguing the can is being kicked too far down the road...

@Ahkns indeed! Might just be more #BlahBlahBlah from politicians and negotiators. #LossAndDamage is vital but my personal focus is on safeguarding the future for young people. The well-kicked can on phasing out #FossilFuels is now in the long grass... but it is critical for children. COP28, COP29, COP30 or COP100 are all too late to keep 1.5⁰C alive.
