Hi fellow #gamedev , quick question. Are some word copyrighted or can't be legally used for naming your game ? Thinking of a very generic word for my project name but then realize that I have no idea on the rules about naming games.

@jonqs My understanding is that you cannot copyright individual words. However, if another game or piece of software uses that word prominently, you may infringe their trademark by naming your game a single generic word.
