Louisiana's new porn ID law is a quintessential slippery slope.

Of course this is just the beginning. Other states will want to do the same thing, and the categories of information that will be mandated to require ID for access will constantly expand beyond porn, to whatever particular politicians find objectionable. While ID information is supposed to be untrackable in the Louisiana case, we know that flaws in
systems frequently turn out to permit tracking where none has supposed to be possible. And of course, anyone who *really* wants to access such materials without using their real IDs will find ways to do so.
