More on the #DKW/#AutoUnion three-cylinder two-stroke engine from yesterday’s Munga. In the fifties, the company promoted this engine using the slogan 3=6, reflecting its contention that a three-cylinder two-stroke offered much of the smoothness and power of an inline four-stroke six. Here, postcards of posters advertising the 3=6 ‘Sonderklasse’, and #3=6 badging from a completely different vehicle that I’ll come back to in a few days. #WeirdCarMastodom #davidsdailycar

@davidwilkins
Is that similar to the two-stroke Saab engine that used to be around?

@AndyLowry I think similar, but I don’t think there is any direct business/engineering connection.
