Just had to tell my boss that if they intend to force me back into office I can't keep working here.
I can't do this & infect my family just because a bunch of rich asshole executives with private offices want to see my face.
If i have to I'll do freelance contracting work.
I'm not doing this and none of you should either. I don't care what the White House says. They don't get to determine what is acceptable level of safe for my family.
We are right there with you. My wife was informed this morning that while she's been allowed to not attend in person meetings and be fully remote up until now, once the emergency declaration ends she won't have that option anymore. We're at least grateful that they essentially gave her 3 months to find a new job. They had to know she wouldn't agree to go back into the schoolhouse.
