There seems to be another wave of anti-remote working articles doing the rounds, including one that is apparently saying we need the commute home to psychologically switch off from work.

Since I have gone 100% remote I have never been happier. At the end of the day I lock my laptop, walk through a door and I'm home. I get to spend more time with my wife and boys, I'm not tired out from the stress of commuting, and at the weekends I want to get out and do stuff and I can afford to because I'm not spending on fuel or public transport.

I'm sure some people prefer to be in the office all the time. Some prefer to be at home all the time. Some prefer a mix. Why can't it be left at that? Stop with the anti-remote rhetoric and companies, if you're listening, the best way to get good people is to be flexible.

I started working from home in 2015 and even without a pandemic I couldn't imagine going back in ever again.
