#LongCovidAwarenessDay
Reading your accounts is heartbreaking. I'm feeling like an imposter because I'm only a little broken by Omicron in July. I'm grateful it's not worse.
I have leg and ear vibrations, heart palpitations, and I'm often fatigued mentally and physically. I've developed allergies. But I can still slog through work most days even if it costs me all the energy I used to spend with loved ones and favorite hobbies. I had mono in my 20s and it feels like that.
I also had mono in my early 20's and COVID can reawaken the EBV still in your system. Much like COVID, probably, you never actually clear the virus from your body completely. If you continue to have issues doctors can test for this.
I actually know someone who was recently put on an antiviral after EBV reactivation. I'm guessing like most things in this realm it's all up to your doctor as to whether they tell you it's in your head, you have anxiety, or if they try to do something about it, but if you have a good doctor it might be worth a try.
@BE in my experience with my doc, my symptoms would have to be much more dramatic to get tested, let alone receive antiviral tx. However, you've given me hope that I might feel better one day if it is EBV. Thank you for your kind replies.
