I've mentioned this in passing a couple of times over the last couple of weeks, but, this is the realistic outcome for a lot of the dairy and meat industry. The dairy farm down the road from me sells raw milk to people and has MAGA, Trump and Don't Tread on Me flags surrounding their acreage. Federal employees will step foot on that property only after the owners are dead. With 10's of thousands of dairy farms alone there's zero chance public health can "control" this the way many people want.

A century of immunizations + excluding disabled people from public view + no science education = a population who has NO IDEA what serious diseases are like, how many of their own children will die
Add in the conspiracy theories, and the dead kids will be a plot by Jewish scientists to kill off white people

@BE @maleve a cousin of mine is a reporter for an agriculture journal and they've basically already given up on reining in any contagion, from what I've heard. He acknowledged the species-jumping bird flu is a looming concern to the ag sector, but in the same breath stated, "You'll just get it like you did COVID, nothing will change" and that's the end of it.
