Building a large CycloHex using 19 50mm rings with 12 5050 #LEDs each, mounted to a #lasercut acrylic back. It's 223 x 250 mm (8.7 x 9.8 inches). I have 4 wired, 15 to go! 😅
It's a lot of work to assemble but I'll release the plans & instructions once I'm sure it's going to work.

Mega CycloHex progress! Got all 19 #RGB #LED rings mounted to the #LaserCut acrylic back with M2 screws. Now to just finish soldering the 80 some wires. 😅

Got all 19 LED rings wired up for the Mega CycloHex! Video coming soon!

Got 6x touch working on the Mega CycloHex using an Adafruit QT Py with ATSAMD21, just like on the small one! Same code, in fact, except the cheap LED rings are wired in the opposite direction. So I had to rework the XY maps.

I got in new LED rings which have two sets of three contacts each, which made wiring so much simpler. They're also smaller: 39mm compared to the others which were 50mm, which means I can cut the acrylic on my small laser cutter at home.
Parts list & instructions coming soon!

As promised, here are some instructions, parts list, code, etc for the Mega CycloHex with 39mm LED rings!
