Sorry to say that Beto is fairly popular here in Texas. The urban areas in Texas are heavily Democrat and liberal. S well organized campaign could feasibly pull off a win.
That said, Beto can't change the fact that he is an arrogant a$$ so he might be his biggest weakness.

There were people at my office that were all in for Beto. He's just another rich kid who thinks he deserves greatness. Maybe he should go do something productive before he runs for public office and tries his best to destroy the constitution and our state/country.
