Does anyone know how to make the Federated timeline pause? Otherwise it's useless and too fast to ever read.
@JennyRohn I am probably cheating but am using the mastodon app and am now following quite a few people. When I go to the home button on the app I just see what people I’m following post and repost so it feels a bit more like a Twitter timeline. I’m sure I’m missing out on the richness of the rest of mastodon but it’s all I can cope with right now!
@DMHardc Know what you mean. It’s overwhelming. @StephenCurry recommended MetaText and it’s quite good. Just having a play now.
@JennyRohn @DMHardc It is tricky to find people. One thing I’ve done is look at the list of people followed by the people I follow - but often you only see a subset.
@StephenCurry @JennyRohn @DMHardc I guess a matter of time, as people toot & retoot, things get boosted and eventually pop up. As a network of networks, this is to be expected, so far building links going much faster than when I joined the bird site, so happy with that.
@DMHardc @DaveFernig @StephenCurry Definitely growing faster than original bird experience or insta. Like Stephen, I’ve found lots of people just looking at my friend’s stuff
