Ukraine and Palestine are the first two conflicts where we have had a continuous flow of firsthand witness accounts on film from ordinary people, unfiltered by the combatants.
@peterbrown @DaveFernig @harriettmb possibly the spreading of technology is making the difference, but also, in general, there's more reaction to attacks on Palestine because of its history of subjugation.
In addition, the intensity of this latest attack is on another scale compared to any conflict during this century

@ridicol @peterbrown @harriettmb we don’t have data worthy of the name for Gaza sadly. The data don’t stand up: compare numbers of women and children vs men yet men are fighting. All we have are lies (both sides) and Hamas lying the most - given how much of our aid they used for war (and stole - leader is worth $4 Bn) this is not surprising. Ever thought how an ‘open air prison’ turned into a ‘destroyed paradise’ in Hamas’ words? Cannot have both.
