Really very pleasant to read through the content here and not just see a bunch of promoted hot takes and people trying to dunk on each other.
Engagement, need of growth and the greed that backs it makes all discourse vapid and toxic.
@Decad3nce I totally agree. More conversation would be cool, but the difference in vibe is refreshing.
@acjay I definitely think (maybe hope?) the vibe will influence more restrained people to come out of the woodwork.
Those who feel like their words can't travel as far or influence as many people. Their thoughts matter just as much as those that can be controversial.
@Decad3nce Yeah, Twitter definitely has the Eye of Sauron effect, where you can be tweeting into what feels like the void, and then suddenly, a deluge of attention, probably on your least thoughtful hot take.
