It's actually in our Code of Conduct as a strong suggestion, but if we see anyone posting heavy political content frequently and without a CW, we will 'limit' the account (at the very least) so that the post don't show up on the public timeline.

@Curator that is wonderful, I wondered why I had to tap to see political comment. For the sake of us newbies, I’ve just found the little exclamation mark in a shield icon that accesses the warnings when I post.
