@trinsec all of Microsoft office is a nightmare. Same thing happens in Excel. And, the worst part? Same computer. Start up plugged into external monitors, it'll look normal. Start up not connected, and you have a 4k display? Completely different, and it's a difficult to find option to disable. I generate charts on Excel that I populated into PowerPoint and the format changes ever so slightly when I do it at home vs work with 2 external monitors. No one else really cares so I don't bother anymore 😅
@Elvindmt@qoto.org That's outright maddening!
Another fun case of home vs work:
At home I have 2 external monitors (and don't use the laptop monitor itself, no desk space left). Microsoft Publisher seems to work fine. But at work with laptop screen and one external monitor? When I try to drag a box around in Publisher, the mouse is spasming out. I have to disconnect the external monitor first. 😒 (Both locations connected via a dock)
And none of the office suite supports shift-scrollwheel to scroll horizontally! I use this feature a lot in other software. Even Windows itself is aware of this. But MS Office? Noooooooo....
