Is trunk.io open-source or not? I know that most of the linters it runs are open-source, but before starting to use it officially, we want to know if it is open-source and that it can be run locally without any SaaS dependency or phone-home feature. At least pre-commit.org is fully open-source so I would not just ship to endup myself being "the product".
@JakubKuczys I uninstalled it few days ago and posted on their own forum. Apparently they are interested in doing something about it but I personally doubt. They are a startup, so they have investors, if they did not clarify the open source part from day 0, they will never do it. In fact the only chance might be to default and to decide to open source at that time. Bit sad as I liked it more than pre-commit.org which has no plans to ever integrate with vscode.
