Hello. I never considered myself someone who accesses niche platforms, no matter how well-intentioned they may be. It always bothered me to have to convince people to migrate to where I was, I don't like to bother others no matter how right I might be. So, I use WhatsApp instead of Signal, and Reddit instead of Lemmy.
But I'm starting to change my mind. I think both Mastodon and Lemmy have evolved and deserve that we dedicate the same amount of time we spend on other platforms, at least initially. This simple act could potentially lead to a mass migration.
Absolutely, it's important not to force change but to demonstrate why it's better. Transparency and avoiding censorship for economic or political convenience are indeed strong starting points. In any case, greetings to whoever reads this!
