` (setq global-auto-revert-mode t) ` will revert any saved buffers when the file on disk changes.

@michaelanckaert Not sure I'd want buffer content auto-updated if it's changed externally. I've done some idiotic things like redirect the output of a script to the script itself, for example! But thanks for the tip!
