Love these creatures. They are rare visitors to my garden in late summer. These were taken this year.
They are SOooooo beautiful. They have a strange way of flying that makes them easy to identify, even when on the wing.
I love taking pics of butterflies although I don't think I'm very good at it.
Just read your intro - I too cut my programming teeth on 8086 Assembler and later 'C', progressing to Visual Basic then C#.
I ended my career with 10 years as an Oracle consultant doing SQL and PL/SQL
