Will net-migration into the UK reach zero in the near future?

Alongside clampdowns on visa availability, the most striking thing is the persistent & slowly growing emigration level - people leaving the country (allowing for some inaccuracies in such data).

The drop in workers' immigration is largely the result of a massive fall in applications for health & care worker visas (approximately down from 400k to 50k over the last two years); student visas have fallen but by much less.

Speaking as one who left the UK for the continental EU way back in 1999, I can understand anyone who ups-sticks and moves permanently to another country. I have few regrets!
