I’ve noticed for some years now, a tendency for fairly learned discussions on even government websites in the United Kingdom, to use the term “Tummy” Rather than the more adult-appropriate abdomen and “Poo” Rather than the more adult-appropriate faeces or stool.

I have no idea why the British appear to have unilaterally adopted the language of 3 – 5-year-olds However I very much fear this is just another symptom of the massive dumbing down of British culture!
