@realtimechem do we need such nationalism to support inclusiveness in chemistry science? Do these “benign” gestures of nationalism make it easier for those using nationalism for less benign reasons?
@PedroMiguel @realtimechem It depends. I don't think that being proud of your country and your roots its a bad thing. The problem arrives when you think your culture is better than others 🤷🏻♂️😅
@rafael_rdguez @realtimechem “my countries” are accidents of circumstance. They occasionally do something worthy of praise. They also do (have done) some terrible things. looking at historical events I see nationalism as a net negative.
