You can tell the track has seen better days, but it’s ok

Overall imagining a Zagreb-Beograd corridor that’s 160-200km/h throughout isn’t hard

Oddly it’s the Zagreb-Novska section that’s worst of all

Something’s wrong. I was due to be leaving now, but the train that was due to arrive here 15 mins ago isn’t to be seen. Other passengers are sitting happily so I assume it’ll come…

I’m not sure the high floor design - for a train built 2015! - is clever. But the trains have comfortable seats, a passable ride quality on poor track, and aren’t too noisy

For reasons unknown we have to switch onto another identical one in Šabac

This one has working wifi though 🙂

Šabac has 50000 people but its station is more like a village station

Getting darker now… I’m in Serbia, the hills over there Bosnia. My train is +30, so I’m likely not going to have enough light to really see the Donja Borina 🇷🇸 - Karakaj 🇧🇦 line. I’ll try tomorrow, cycling situation in Zvornik permitting!
