@flarb @Soylentgraham still catching up on announcements -- the front portion doesn't have a battery though, right? So you either wear the rear battery pack or tether to something else?
@rje @Soylentgraham I used it with no tether or battery pack. I thunk they have a head strap battery option like the Quest. I’m pretty sure that’s what my demo used.
@flarb @Soylentgraham interesting! I'm looking forward to trying it out
@flarb @Soylentgraham I guess I'm surprised because when I was reading this https://www.roadtovr.com/htc-vive-xr-elite-price-release-quest-pro-competitor-1100/
I saw: "Of course, you’ll need some other power source to run the Vive XR Elite if you opt to remove the battery, be it a separate powerbank or a USB cable connected to the mains."
good to know that's not true
@rje @Soylentgraham well I guess I had a battery strap. Not very heavy, though.
@flarb @Soylentgraham article could def be wrong too, looks like it was mainly going off public specs?
@Soylentgraham nope! All self contained with a chipset more powerful than Quest 2!
