Introducing a bill to ban Disney's Hall of Presidents till they get rid of all the wigs and Trump's bronzer.

I filed HB 494 today. Enough is enough. There is no such thing as a family friendly “Drag Queen” event. As a Dad of 4 daughters I’m extremely concerned what is being allowed in public spaces accessible by minors.

@lolgop Okay, so before they're allowed to pass this, I demand that they provide evidence of ANY such event occurring.

Excuse the politically charged rhetoric, but this seems like a good example of “…obscene performances for [all ages] minors”

There is an argument that the event, in addition to being for all ages, did warn of adult content. Though I’m not sure how adult content, by definition, could ever be for all ages.

I pointed that out in my initial response.
Imo, I don’t think children of ages low as 9 (which was one of the ages of the kids in the videos shown in the thread) should be allowed in these events even with warning, in the same way we don’t usually allow people under the age 17-18 into strip clubs.
Its kind of gross, and I’m sure most people would agree.

We have movie ratings, now we need Drag ratings apparently. I read the Twitter thread. If it's true, you really can't argue there should be little kids in there anymore than they should be in a strip club.

@SomeOldLady @Unit @lolgop Or, y'know, parents could actually be parents.

@Unit @lolgop If there is no nudity, it's up to the parents. Whether you or anyone else thinks it's gross is irrelevant.
