It's weird. CounterSocial has much more nimble servers, response time, but Mastodon seems to be the one that's pulling people over. Of course the latter cld be driving the former. But I have some skepticism whether a a decentralized framework can handle a rush of new people.
I signed up for c.s a week ago and still haven't gotten my invite. That's the main reason no one is adopting it. No one can get in unless they know people.
