"Smartphones wipe out 97% of market"
It blows my mind that camera makers failed to capitalize on the smartphone. If I take a picture on my nice camera, it should automatically appear in my phone's gallery--zero gap in UX from the phone's camera. They should have stopped at nothing to achieve this.
@acjay I think it goes to show that the product development process is just as much of a secret sauce as the product itself. Camera makers & phone manufacturers like Nokia or Blackberry had incumbent advantage on one piece of the puzzle but could not develop a conception of the rest of the puzzle except in the slowest, most reactive fashion. #ProductManagement
