, what's the dopest rendition of Lift Every Voice And Sing?

@acjay, may I suggest the choral version recently arranged by Dr. Zanaida Robles?

I heard the Florida All State Mixed choir perform it last month, but that recording isn't available. Here's Cal State Long Beach...

@ComposerJ I wish there was a recording off the sound board. It was kinda hard to hear what was going on. Sounds like they had the piano playing in an entirely different key. Very cool though. Thanks for sharing!

@acjay i think this might be a clearer recording. There are a few different performances on YouTube. This is one of few versions I've heard that sets music to reflect the meaning of the text. The three verses cover very different topics and moods, and Dr. Robles captures that journey so effectively.

I'm looking forward to hearing other settings shared in response to your prompt as well.

@ComposerJ I was hoping to get more recommendations!

Btw, I clicked through and saw you're a UK alum. I lived in Lexington several times in my 20s!

@acjay I am! The bluegrass is a special place. I miss those times. Go cats!

@ComposerJ I'm overdue for a return visit. It's been almost 15 years!

@acjay I can relate! It's only been 8 years for me, but that's far too long!
