@ned so you’re a refugee for 15 years, build up a life, things actually stabilize a bit back home and you think it’s fair to leave when you’re already a productive member of society and just want to see your parents before they die?
You never really talked to refugees right.
@aosinski Refugees have special status immigrants do not. Because if they get sent back, they will likely die. If a refugee voluntarily leaves their host country, they are no longer a refugee. They are an immigrant. They are taking advantage of special status they do not deserve.
@aosinski If they want to stay permanently, they should apply for citizenship.
@ned you don’t even know the first thing around the legal processes for those things so why don’t you just abstain from more ignorant opinions
@aosinski I don't give a crap about the legal process. I'm sure it's a pain in the arse. And it should be. That's the point. It's a mechanism to restrict of foreigners into a country. Refugee status is a way to circumvent that restriction. I understand why the mechanism exist. But that doesn't mean it should be abused.
@ned no it’s not. You have no idea how and why refugee status applies. You’re talking out of your racist ass about things you have no idea about except this muh-uh-brown-people-bad garbage
@aosinski I never mentioned brown people or skin colour at all. Look who's the racist.
@ned you don’t need to mention it because we can see from five thousand miles away who your complaints are about. You think we were born yesterday?
@aosinski historically speaking, yes. I think you have a globalist mindset and believe everyone should be welcomed everywhere without exception or limit. That is a luxury only people who were born yesterday can believe.
@ned when you spend a substantial chunk of time in a place and become integrated to society you have every right to live in it and inhabit it like other so unless you think refugees are subhuman.
@aosinski No, that is incorrect. I already made my statement. They should apply for citizenship.
@aosinski that's a very presumptive thing to say.
