We spotted a bird yesterday, but not able to identify it with 100% confidence. Is this an osprey? We've never seen an osprey on our Minnesota lake before. Photographed from a distance unfortunately.

Thank you for the verification. It did quite match the drawing in my book, and we are listed as slightly out of it's normal range. I don't think I've ever seen an osprey before.

They are great birds - and if there is fish around, they'll do well.
