In case you read the Guardian article about our #ChatGPT paper, I’d like to clarify that we didn’t actually ‘hoodwink’ anyone! The paper states clearly which parts were written by us and which by ChatGPT. I know, right? I am appalled by this blatant misinformation by the Guardian, which discredits you and your collaborators in a very significant way and has a possibility of tangible, real-world consequences.
I would hope that at the least they will publish an apology, and I hope you are considering your legal options. This attack on scholarship is not a trivial matter.

@boris_steipe The publishers are following it up. I’m trying to remain sanguine about the whole thing. We followed all the rules and most people who’ve read it have absolutely ‘got’ the paper.
