It looks like I'll probably be wanting to move off the main instance, likely sooner than later. Hmm. The benefits of centralization are also it's curse. But also, I belong to multiple communities, and I'm anxious about having to pick one. 😬
@Alan_Au as I just got here, I wonder about this as well. Is there any reason you can't have multiple accounts, to marshall interaction as appropriate for the type of community you want to engage in as well as the sort of server and policies appropriate?
I kind of stopped using Twitter long before I was particularly worried about engaging in different communities, but as the Twitter/Mastopoclypse is happening, I can see how it might be difficult to engage with different communities I care about using the same tool/identity, at least with the way Mastadon publishes. Though I am still learning my way around.
