@haikukitteh Well, not all areas of the US are as rich in water as northern Germany. It rains more here than in the UK :D (in normal years, this summer was horrible)
True - I didn't realize it rained that much there!
But I live in the northeast, and we get plenty of rain, and the last few years, its been even more than normal.

Exactly what it is. It's just a mesh fence with stones in it.
The problem with hedges is: You have to cut it every or every other year and my dad's getting to old for that. :/
