Woke to about 8” (20cm) of #snow with more expected throughout the day. The lights in the house occasionally flicker due to the heavy snow on the trees and power lines. 🤞🏼

@rickscully About 9" of the heavy wet here in Brattleboro (so far). I'm surprised the power is still on. Not expecting that to last as the winds pick up.
With snow like this, our birch trees get so weighed down they block the driveway. But whacking them with a snow shovel makes them bounce right up. They seem to do fine with these conditions, like Vermonters I guess.

Based on the map of outages in this area, I don't expect a fast resolution.
Green Mountain Power currently reporting 30,301 customers without power, as a result of 1,062 separate incidents.
