Well, when the question is: How long does an internet outage have to last before I rejigger my home network to run off my phone - the answer is apparently: 2.5 days.

We're back (kinda)
Oh boy, to add insult to injury they just firewalled cjdns on the mobile connection - taking out pkteerium and my mail server, again.

And this mobile is also the same company that had the 3 day long fiber outage 🤦‍♂️ (they're usually good)

Anyway, I found their trick, they're blocking any UDP source port which makes too much traffic. Fix: unique source port for every cjdns connection. Yeah, I'm probably gonna make the effort and actually do that...

@cjd This is why "unlimited" (a fiction out of the gate) data is a BAD thing. If you were paying them by the gigabyte - the last thing an ISP would want to do is block high traffic ports.

Well it's not unlimited, it's 3Mb/s because I checked how much bandwidth I could use before I started to get latency, and it was 3Mb/s.

So 972GB per month. But hopefully they won't take a month to fix the main fiber connection.

It's basically a backup, but it's proving to be not a very good one... Gonna have to start looking at Starlink...
