Two big social science questions that I believe deserve more attention:

1. Is there a general theory of social groups (nations, religious communities, political parties...). Do we need a separate theory for each group, or it is possible to create a general theory?

2. Is the reversal of the trend of declining homophobia possible? Societies are becoming more tolerant towards gay persons. Should we be worried that this is temporary? What can cause such a reversal and what can prevent it?

@maximananyev it is most definitely reversible. See what the US is doing with attempts to become significantly more conservative, indeed christian fundamentalist. Same-sex marriage is not safe under US GOP. Well actually no social program is safe under these US GOP extremists.
