Thanks to the hard work of Henry (@zentral) and Allister (@Arubdesu) , Mac Admins Open Source is happy to announce Simple Organized Feed for Apple Software Updates (SOFA). SOFA supports MacAdmins by efficiently tracking and surfacing information on updates for macOS and iOS, including software updates, XProtect data files and active CVEs by OS version.
You can find SOFA here: https://sofa.macadmins.io
And as always you can find the code on github: https://github.com/macadmins/sofa
From the American Revolution onwards, Black Americans enthusiastically enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces, hoping that service would validate their equality. But, they were soon confronted with the harsh truth of segregation & mistreatment during service. As the 20th century dawned, this injustice, abroad and at home, fueled a growing sense of race pride and consciousness.

@dell @IceCubesApp and @ivory and @MonaApp. Ivory does not yet support quote-posts but it’s on the road map; the other two do. Mona also is an excellent macOS app.

@kyubikitsy Absolutely! https://sign.panic.com/
@cabel Well, I remember Panic for supplying me with perhaps the best Newsgroup reader I'd ever used shortly after switching to a Mac. Unison was a breath of fresh air compared to the Windows clients I'd used previously. Hard to believe it hit EOL 9 years ago!

tl;dr Call your US Representative and ask them to support S. 1541, which just passed the Senate by Unanimous Consent. https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative
Currently, there are spots in the US where calls from jails cost $1/minute. 1/3 families with someone incarcerated go into debt keeping in contact.
The Senate just passed S. 1541, which will bring prison phone and video call rates back down to reasonable levels and allow the FCC to start regulating video calls as well.
As a #macrophotographer, people often see me carrying my camera and wonder if I'm taking landscape or bird shots. And then later, when they see me crouching to the ground with my lens pointed at a blade of grass, they just think I'm a weirdo...
This is the result of being weird:
Just a thought for anyone building a Mastodon client. Unlike Twitter, Mastodon doesn’t have free unlimited photo hosting.
Instance admins pay for all that storage and access. Might be nice to help take the burden off of them by supporting third-party image hosting sites. Lots of Twitter apps used to do this until pic.twitter became the default.
