I've signed up to a while ago and I'm now considering starting to actually use Mastodon as plenty of people I follow on Twitter now have an account in Fediverse. Since I already have an account here it's the obvious choice but the listed version of Mastodon (3.2.1) seems a bit worrying (it's 2 years old), won't I be missing newer features that are likely to come especially now that user base gets bigger? 🤔

Searching for a good instance is tiring - I really like qoto.org's no-block stance because it should hopefully prevent cases where I can't see or interact with someone due to admins blocking their instance. I couldn't really find another instance that also keeps their blocklist small while still being a safe space like qoto.org appears to be.
