Are there good tools for searching for chemical availability across multiple vendors (e.g. MolPort / Mcule / eMolecules / Enamine)? Open to commercial or open source options (even #Python APIs for the above would be good). #Chemistry #Chemiinformatics

@kurtthorn I usually start with scifinder's vendors option. It's not always perfect (sometimes I go to the vendor site and it isn't listed after all, but it does try to distinguish between in stock and custom synthesis items).

@SRLevine Thanks! I fear scifinder may be expensive for a startup but I suspected it might be the answer.

Scifider abolished their system where you could buy a certain number of "points", so you could "scale" your investment to your needs. Now it's all or nothing. So, if you are just looking for commercial sources of chemicals, I recommend to be kind to your blood pressure and not even look at their commercial rates :-)
