Just finished watching 's -up. Couple days ago saw . It's incredible how storytelling style was completely different in 60s and 70s. Today is (almost) all about the plot, back in the past was (almost) pure visual art + a concept. Entertainment vs. art. Probably now you have a better time when watching a movie, but this evening I and my friends had a one hour conversation about the movie - doesn't happen after a Hollywood blockbuster. The only director that comes to my mind able to blend together visual art/concept + entertainment is . Maybe in some cases ( - but that was a Kubrick's project -, ).
