The judge overseeing a wrongful death lawsuit involving Tesla's Autopilot system rejected the company's claim that videos of CEO Elon Musk's public statements might be deepfakes.

"Their position is that because Mr. Musk is famous and might be more of a target for deep fakes, his public statements are immune."
